Terms of Service

1. Who can use the Service

You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.

2. What JustAJob is (and isn’t)

JustAJob is a UK-focused job-search service that aggregates listings from third-party sources and employers, and provides application tracking, alerts, CV and application tools, mock interviews and optional public profiles. We are not an employer, recruiter or employment agency. We review first-party listings before publication, but listings can still change or contain errors and third-party listings remain under their source’s control. We do not guarantee that a role is genuine, lawful, available or still open, or that using the Service will result in an interview or job. Applications are normally made on an employer or job-board website under that provider’s terms.

3. Your account

Accounts use an email address and password. New accounts must verify their email, and password resets use a single-use, time-limited link sent to that address. Keep your password and email account secure, use a unique password, and do not share your account. Tell us promptly at support@justajob.net if you suspect unauthorised use. You are responsible for activity under your account to the extent it results from your failure to take reasonable care, and you should keep one account per person.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• break the law or infringe anyone’s rights;
• scrape, crawl, harvest or use automated means to access the Service beyond normal personal use, or place an unreasonable load on it;
• probe, attack, reverse-engineer or interfere with the Service or its security;
• misuse the AI tools, or submit another person’s personal data without permission or another proper basis;
• upload or publish unlawful, discriminatory, harmful, infringing or materially misleading content, or impersonate anyone;
• publish a profile, CV, vacancy or employer enquiry that you are not authorised to provide;
• resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the Service without our permission.

5. AI tools

AI-assisted CV analysis, job matching, drafting, LinkedIn optimisation, profile generation and mock-interview feedback are support tools, not hiring decisions. Output may be inaccurate, incomplete, generic or unsuitable and is not legal, financial or professional career advice. Review, fact-check and edit anything before relying on it, publishing it or sending it to an employer. Do not present invented experience or qualifications as true. Fair-use limits apply, and we may rate-limit or suspend excessive or abusive use.

6. Premium subscriptions and billing

At present every feature of the Service is available free of charge and no paid subscription is offered for sale. The provisions below apply only if and when premium subscriptions are offered.

• What you get. The features included in each plan are the ones shown on the pricing and checkout pages when you subscribe. They may include AI career tools, mock interviews, LinkedIn optimisation, public profiles, advanced statistics and a larger CV library. A free tier may remain available.
• Pricing. Prices are shown at checkout in GBP (£), and applicable taxes may be added.
• Payment & renewal. Billing is handled by Stripe on a monthly or annual cycle. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, and we charge your saved payment method, until you cancel.
• Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal; your premium access then continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• Refunds & cooling-off rights. If you subscribe as a UK consumer, you may have a statutory 14-day right to cancel. If you expressly ask us to begin providing the paid service during that period and then cancel, the law may allow a proportionate charge for service already supplied. Any loss of a cancellation right requires the request, consent and acknowledgement required by law; merely creating an account or reading these terms does not provide them. Outside a statutory right or another legal entitlement, fees are not normally refunded for a part-used billing period and access continues until that period ends. Contact support@justajob.net to exercise a statutory cancellation right. Nothing here restricts your consumer rights.
• Price changes. We may change prices; we will give you reasonable notice and changes apply from your next renewal.
• Failed payments. If a payment fails or is overdue, premium access may be paused or your account downgraded to the free tier.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, its software, branding and original content are owned by us or our licensors. Job listings and content you provide remain owned by their respective owners. You keep ownership of your content and grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process, reproduce and display it only as needed to provide and secure the features you choose. The licence to display public-profile or listing content ends when it is unpublished or deleted, except for copies we must retain by law. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed for content you provide.

Public profiles are private drafts until you publish them. Once published, anyone with the link may view, copy or index the page and download any CV you choose to attach. Unpublishing stops us serving the page, but cannot retrieve copies already saved by other people.

8. Third-party services and links

The Service relies on and links to third parties — including job-feed providers, employer and job-board websites, our payment processor and our AI providers — each with their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services or content.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that listings are accurate or current, that the Service will always be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will produce a particular job outcome. This does not affect our duty to provide any paid service with reasonable care and skill or any other statutory consumer right.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost opportunities or jobs, or for third-party content or websites. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for your non-excludable rights as a consumer.

11. Indemnity

If you use the Service on behalf of a business, that business is responsible for reasonable, direct losses we suffer because it unlawfully misuses the Service or materially breaches these terms. This section does not impose an indemnity on a person using the Service wholly or mainly as a consumer.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end access where reasonably necessary because of a material or repeated breach, security risk, unlawful activity, non-payment, or harm to the Service or others. Where practical, we will explain the reason and give an opportunity to correct it. You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from the account page. Statutory rights and any entitlement relating to paid service already purchased remain unaffected.

13. Changes

We may update the Service and these terms. We will update the “Last updated” date and give reasonable notice before a material change affects an active paid subscription, including any options the law requires us to provide. Other changes apply from the date shown.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of the UK nation where you live.
